Description
"Patina" starts with a simple idea: some things become greater with age, and more meaningful as they change hands. An antique piece from an estate sale, a pair of boots resoled three times, or a trunk that's crossed the Atlantic. The 990v4, made in the USA by New Balance, arrives in Pumpernickel and Dark Olivine: waxed suede from SB Foot Tannery covering the upper, leather built to age as beautifully as the finds that inspired it. Gold hardware references antique jewelry, woven-edge alternate laces nod to heirloom textiles, and a jadeite glassware-inspired footbed with an asymmetrical crack design sits underfoot. Arrives in a steamer trunk-inspired box with hand-painted monograms and souvenir stickers, made for whoever finds it next.
