Concepts x Nike SB Turdunken Collection
“By far, this is the dumbest and weirdest and most off the wall thing we’ve ever done”- Deon Point. An idea that’s been years in the making, the new Concepts x Nike SB ‘Turdunken’ is inspired by the popular seasonal turducken dish. The execution includes a chicken sock, stuffed in a duck (or Dunk) sneaker, stuffed inside a turkey oven. Hitting on the idea of food + football + friendship, the Turdunken release also includes a custom-made Nerf vortex ‘turkey leg’ football and is timed to be released so you can celebrate Friendsgiving in style.
Details, upon details, upon details….
The Nike SB Duck (Dunk) High Pro uses luxe materials and iridescent details to create a design that mimics the look and feel of a male mallard duck. Plush leather is textured to look like feathers and the fuzzy suede material on the heel mimics duck down. We’ve incorporated a scenic toile print on the insole and collar lining, which features a flock of mallards (and maybe even a lobster or two). The rubber sole is colored up to mimic the look of duck legs and feet. The entire sneaker kit includes a custom shipping box, an ‘oven on fire’ sneaker box, a Concepts x Nerf football, Nike SB Dri-fit ‘chicken’ socks, Nike SB Dunk Hi Pro sneakers, and three sets of laces – ‘cranberry,’ ‘butter,’ and ‘gravy. $249 (entire kit).
To complement the footwear, we’ve developed a limited apparel and accessories collection featuring a bomber jacket, a tee and a beanie.
- The bomber Jacket is designed with a faux fur plaid pattern, paying homage to the infamous jackets of Broadway Joe. You’ll find a toile print on the lining has a repeating duck graphic that's inspired by the look of rustic wallpaper. $285
- The Nike SB navy Crew Neck Tee features an elevated heavyweight cotton fabric with a custom duck graphic, pulled from the toile print $45
- The Nike SB Beanie comes in an orange knit fabric with a Concepts swimming duck patch and a Nike SB logo is embroidered on the back. $34
