Baseball is a feeling. And its best expressed through the classic look of its uniform and the casual elegance of New England summer style. This is the vibe of our Home Plate collection, an assortment of apparel, accessories and home goods honoring the subtle pleasures of seasonal ritual.
“The culture of sport and of our region have always been key components of our brand,” says Deon Point, Concepts Creative Director. “The Home Run collection marries summer nostalgia with Concepts’ vision of contemporary luxury.”
Apparel in the Home Run collection is conceptualized and constructed in the United States. The French Terry jersey and pant, both new silhouettes, translate game apparel into a uniform for summer days. The two pieces extended our cut & sew line, adding to its range of brilliantly crafted modern fits. The new Home Plate logo, rendered in enameled silver, embellishes the jersey and pant, as well as the Home Plate Shorts.
New fleece styles, including an embossed heather grey tonal “CC” crew neck and a quartet of new hoodies, carry nods to baseball’s underlying glory. Sleeves feature homage to the literary brilliance of the sport’s great commentators, reading “Drama without words” or “Ballet without music.” The Home Run collection’s T-Shirts play on baseball themes too: Graphics range from an abstract batter to the quintessentially American University Arch logo.
Icons of New England summer — the boat tote, the woven dog collar — highlight the accessories assortment. A custom tapestry blanket, by Eddy Germano, along with new tumbler candles, round out the Home Run spirit. The collection is completed by a new range of Concepts x New Era 59/50.
